The Jynx society is notably different from that of man, from belief, socialism, traditions and even down to ethics. They have derived a religion unlike any written pantheon, taking careful study in the magic of Ki- a monastic tradition that suffuses the multiverse. In the face of company, even their own, the Jynx will take for silence rather than response, as many lead the path of asceticism. From a young age, the Jynx are separated into clans of various age groups which harness the talents of each individual while deliberately training and teaching the olden magic of Ki. By the age of twelve, the Jynx is to choose their path of austere or settlement. Though not all Jynx are so stilled nor reclusive, those that do not pursue monastic conduct will keep to settlements in Thedas, Cosmin or Torshaw. However children whose parents have passed will not be given the choice to live amongst the clans, and will be mandated into the lifestyle of a monk, as the Jynx believe this to be the only way to find inner peace. 

The clans of Thedas, Cosmin and Torshaw vary greatly. The Thedas Jynx are caravanning merchants who will only return to Thedas annually and are often the most vocal and indulgent of the Jynx society. Those in Cosmin are renown for their ancient temples of worship and their talent for growing Eliatrop, a unique and valuable incense known to invigorate the senses. The Jynx of Torshaw are scouts who spread the word of Kinereth and the practice of Monastic culture. It is common for the Jynx of Thedas to interact with those in Torshaw, as their wares are exchanged here for trade in Aeren.

Physical Appearance

​

Taller than most humans, the Jynx will stand between six and seven feet in height.  The bodies of females are often slender where those of men harness more lean and compact muscle, both coated in spotted and striped furs. On their hands are long and retractable claws, and their fur color ranges from light grey, flaxen yellows, rusted reds, greys, blacks and silvers. The most notable feature of the Jynx are their eyes, which are slit-pupiled and often glowing green, yellow and less often, blue.

Reproduction

Reproduction for Jynx is incredibly effortless, as they are capable of bearing multiple children in every offspring. However, due to many which follow the monastic lifestyle, their reproduction rate is below average as the Jynx are unable to reproduce with any man or beast outside of their own race.
