Eladrin

"Provokers of wonder, causes of marvel, projectors of glamor, weavers of enchantment, begetters of Terror. O, fallen Fathers of stone and sun, return our light again."
Once the significant force and rulers over Elsgadir, the Eladrin were known to be one of the oldest races, next to the Saurian. Keepers of the Book of Shadows, they harnessed their abilities through the power of the sun. However, since the reign of Kauhl, their numbers have decreased so significantly that many believe the Eladrin to be extinct. Despite Tameran's attempts to veil the kingdom, the face of every full moon would capture countless victim Eladrin and turn them into a state of stone. Now the Kingdom remains abandoned and should one cross the olden ruins, they will find those faces of ancient magic frozen in an endless monument of fear.
Whatever Eladrin remain are often confronted with disbelief, then considered miraculous. Those who cross their paths dare not get close, in fear that the next moon will too claim the Eladrin or even themselves. Those Eladrin still living might still claim the title 'Eladrin' but many Fae and mortals alike consider them 'Kabore', or the Sylvan translation for 'alone'. In remembrance for their fallen brethren, the Eladrin might inherit this title.
Physical Appearance
To humans and many other races, these Elves appear hauntingly beautiful. They possess a grace that is unmatched, their frames often willowy and their features delicate. Their hair is of golden silk or snowy gossamers and smooth cream, bronze and even blueish white is captured in the their unblemished skin. Typically, eyes are pale, glowing renditions of powdered blues, glimmering gold, mint, or even lavender. The most notable features of the Eladrin is found in their veins. Should the Eladrin cast their magic, these branches of life will illuminate either white or gold beneath the flesh. Most of the men were said to have stood around six feet tall and the women nigh five. Given their lithe frames, the Eladrin weigh anywhere between 90 to 150 pounds.
Lifespan
At the death of the oldest Elsgadir King and Eladrin, Raunien was well into his seventh century of life. Unfortunately, he now remains in a state of stone and no scripture is written on the extent of the Eladrin's lifespan.
Reproduction
Given the rarity of Eladrin, many deem them fruitless in bearing. However it is the curse that has claimed a number greater than the count of those living. Should one Eladrin find another, this event would be considered prodigious for the fate of those that prevail.
